Recovery is one of the most important parts of my routine.
Over the years, and especially when I was with the sevens, I learned that recovery is key to success with such a short turnaround between matches.
I have really been working hard during the last few years to fuel my body with food that’s high in nutrients. My diet has changed a lot over the years as I tried to find what really works for me, but that doesn’t mean I never treat myself. Balance is key.
I have always enjoyed making myself smoothies and shakes with FutureLife that are packed with seeds, fruit, veg and so much more.
I recently tried their new Repair Food. It may be my favourite product yet, because of the three sources of protein, and it’s easy to have in-between sessions.
There are no other supplements in my routine, because I really feel I don’t need them.
There is no easy way or shortcut – it’s all about hard work, on and off the field.
This is my personal opinion and what works for me. You need to find what works best for your body.
