Stick: Jantjies in good mental space ahead of Bok debut

Springbok assistant coach Mzwandile Stick says Herschel Jantjies can become one of South Africa's great scrumhalves. Jantjies is set to make his Test debut against the Wallabies at Ellis Park on Saturday, either as the starting No 9 or off the bench. Stick said the 23-year-old had taken his opportunities with the Stormers in Super Rugby and he expected him to do the same at Test level. 'Look at how consistent he's been this season,' Stick added. 'The one thing about him is that he is very clinical in terms of his basic skills. He's got a good pass and when the opportunity arises, he will snipe around the ruck and score brilliant tries. 'He's not a big guy, but he makes the big tackles. That shows he's in a good mental space. 'He's got the potential to become one of the great scrumhalves in our country. I'm glad that he's part of our squad and hopefully he will get a chance on Saturday.'
