Much-changed Bulls to battle Lions


Jan Uys will make his long-awaited debut for the Bulls against the Lions at Loftus on Saturday.

The 27-year-old, who joined the Bulls from French club Brive last year, partners Ruan Nortje in the second row.

In other changes to the pack, Schalk Erasmus and Lizo Gqoboka come into the front row, and Elrigh Louw starts at blindside flank.

Scrumhalf Embrose Papier, flyhalf Chris Smith, debutant centre Jay-Cee Nel and winger Stravino Jacobs are in the starting backline, with Marnus Potgieter shifting from 12 to 13.

The Covid-hit Bulls last played against the Sharks on 12 December.

Wednesday's match will kick off at 16:00.
