John Plumtree: Fishing takes my mind off work!

All Blacks assistant coach JOHN PLUMTREE went fishing during the festive season. RugbyRocks.com asked him ...

Where did you go fishing and who were you with?
I went fishing off Taranaki in New Plymouth, with my long-time friend Blair Burnett.

Watch did you catch?
A beautiful snapper!

Who taught you how to fish?
Blair taught me all I know about fishing and diving.

How often do you go fishing?
I try to get out fishing at least once a week on my Seadoo JetSki.

What do you enjoy most about fishing?
The excitement of what you might or might not catch. Also, it takes my mind off work and anything else I have on my mind.

What's the biggest fish you've ever caught?
I caught a pretty big shark off Seychelles and a large GT [giant trevally] off Mozambique. I also had a lot of fun catching tiger fish at Josini Dam in Northern Natal.
