Handré Pollard was taken to hospital after suffering a knee injury during Montpellier's 41-17 loss at Racing 92 on Friday.
The Springbok flyhalf was hurt while attempting to tackle Racing's Baptiste Chouzenoux in the second half.

The pained expression on Pollard's face suggests the prognosis doesn't look good for the player, Montpellier or the Springboks.
‘Generally, when someone leaves on a stretcher it's never very good despite the fact there can be different degrees of knee injuries,’ Montpellier coach Xavier Garbajosa said. ‘I hope for him and the team it's benign. He's left for hospital.’
Meanwhile, Racing debutant Kurtley Beale was red-carded after a dangerous tackle on Arthur Vincent in the 62nd minute and could miss next Saturday's European Champions Cup quarter-final at Clermont.
